Piperidine’s six-membered nitrogen heterocycle makes it invaluable in drug design, organic synthesis, and industrial chemistry. Its derivatives continue to expand applications in medicine and materials science etc.

Examples like:

production of dipiperidinyl dithiuram tetrasulfide, which is used as an accelerator of the sulfur vulcanization of rubber.

Agriculture chemical synthesis: Mepiquat chloride,a plant growth regulator.

Pharmaceutical synthesis: Dipyridamole,Minoxidil etc.

Organic reagents:Can transformed to a variety of derivatives which has vast value in organic synthesis as solvents and as base.
